Family Help Lead Practitioner, Wokingham Council
Pay rate up to £27 per hour
Contract role
Vitalis are recruiting for experienced Family Lead Practitioner to work in a team in Wokingham Council.
Family Help Practitioner delivers strengths-based, whole-family support, carrying a caseload of families, completing assessments, coordinating Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings, and leading interventions to improve outcomes and reduce the need for statutory involvement.
Essential criteria: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent relevant experience) working with children and families, experience delivering direct interventions, and knowledge of children’s social care legislation, safeguarding, thresholds, and early intervention systems.
Must demonstrate strong relationship-building, assessment, communication and report-writing skills, alongside understanding of child development, trauma, mental health, domestic abuse, substance misuse, and family vulnerabilities.
